Rolex 6062 Description

The Rolex reference 6062 is a horological masterpiece and one of the most important, complex, and valuable vintage watches ever created. Produced for a very brief period from 1950 to 1953, it is one of only two Rolex models to feature a triple calendar and moonphase complication. Its monumental significance comes from being the first of its kind housed in a waterproof Oyster case with a screw-down crown and back, perfectly embodying the Rolex philosophy of robust elegance. This 36mm watch was produced in yellow gold, pink gold, and most rarely, stainless steel. The 6062 is famous for its dial variations, including the highly coveted “Stelline” dials with star-shaped markers, and the ultra-rare diamond dials, the most famous of which is the “Bao Dai” which belonged to the last Emperor of Vietnam. Powered by the chronometer-grade Caliber 655, the 6062 is a “grail” for the world’s most elite collectors.
