Vintage watches are a lot of fun. There are so many different styles, designs, histories, and complications to explore. As a watchmaker, I think my perspective is different from most collectors. Actually seeing each individual part of a watch gives you a completely different appreciation. I also tend to gravitate toward more unique watches than most people. I understand the hesitation when it comes to vintage watches, though—it’s actually one of the reasons I started Ottuhr.

So many people are wearing the same watch or have a collection that you can't tell a single watch apart. I feel like a lot of people might enjoy a vintage watch or even a lesser-known modern one if they knew where to start. Many of our customers have told me that their biggest hurdle is not knowing how to buy them—what to look for, how to tell if it’s real, or if it's in good condition. That’s where Ottuhr comes into play. We offer vintage watches that are fully inspected for accuracy, functionality, and authenticity. While this isn’t a new concept, it’s not something you see often with more affordable timepieces. This is something I’m very proud of. We will always carry affordable vintage watches. At the end of the day, Ottuhr is anything and everything vintage watches—basic, odd, rare, ugly, retro, or any other adjective you can think of.
