Reference 6516 is a vintage Lady-Datejust model produced from approximately 1962 through the early 1970s. It represents the archetypal stainless steel, smooth-bezel configuration of its generation. It is powered by the Rolex Caliber 1135 (preceded by the Cal. 1130), a robust, non-quickset automatic movement. The technical specification denotes a 26mm Oyster case and bracelet constructed entirely from stainless steel, fitted with a smooth, polished bezel. A common technical feature of the dial on this reference is the ‘pie-pan’ configuration. The case is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal.
