Rolex Oyster Perpetual 6619 Description
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref. 6619 is a vintage ladies’ automatic model produced throughout the early to mid-1960s. Slightly upgraded from its sibling references, the 6619 was fitted with a 26mm stainless steel case and commonly featured a fluted 18k white gold bezel, enhancing its visual appeal while maintaining Rolex’s practical Oyster construction. It was powered by the automatic Rolex Caliber 1130 or 1161, reliable movements built for durability and accuracy, delivering a power reserve of approximately 42 to 44 hours. Dials for the 6619 were available in a range of refined finishes, often seen in sunburst silver, champagne, or matte black, with baton hour markers and stick hands protected by an acrylic crystal. The watch featured a screw-down crown and caseback, offering water resistance consistent with Rolex’s Oyster standards. It had a lug-to-lug measurement of roughly 33mm and a lug width of 13mm, allowing for balanced wear on smaller wrists. Bracelet options typically included the folded-link Oyster or Jubilee style in stainless steel. The 6619 remains a favored model for collectors seeking a vintage, no-date Rolex that blends mechanical authenticity with subtle elegance and traditional design values from the early 1960s.
