Rolex Oyster Perpetual 14208 Description
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref. 14208 is a refined and relatively uncommon variant within the midsize Oyster Perpetual collection, produced in the 1990s. It features a 34mm case crafted entirely from 18k yellow gold, offering a more luxurious execution of the typically stainless steel model. The case is paired with an 18k gold fluted bezel and a matching gold Oyster bracelet, providing both visual presence and traditional Rolex design language. It is powered by the automatic Rolex Caliber 3000, a COSC-certified movement offering a 42-hour power reserve and a beat rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The ref. 14208 is fitted with a sapphire crystal and maintains water resistance up to 100 meters thanks to its screw-down crown and solid case construction. Dials were available in champagne, white, or other classic tones with applied gold hour markers and baton hands. It has a lug-to-lug measurement of approximately 41mm and a lug width of 19mm. As a fully gold version of the midsize Oyster Perpetual, the 14208 was a niche luxury option aimed at collectors who favored elegance and restraint over flash. Today, it stands out for its blend of clean design, solid gold construction, and reliable Rolex engineering.
