Beta 21 Description

The Beta 21 was the first Swiss production analog quartz movement, a landmark collaborative effort by the CEH consortium (Rolex, Patek, Omega, etc.) released in 1969. It is noted for its unique 8,192 Hz quartz bar, which produced a humming sound and a sweeping (not ticking) seconds hand. This large, modular movement powered a variety of iconic and futuristic watches and was the Swiss industry’s answer to the dawn of quartz.
