Rolex 3186 Description

The Rolex Caliber 3186 is a COSC-certified chronometer movement used in GMT-Master II and Explorer II models starting around 2005. Its key feature is an independently adjustable 12-hour hand for tracking a second time zone. It notably introduced the blue Parachrom hairspring for improved anti-magnetism and temperature resistance over its predecessor, the Cal. 3185. The 3186 also featured a refined jumper mechanism for smoother setting of the GMT hand, solidifying its reputation as a robust and reliable “true” GMT movement.
