Rolex Air-King 4365 Description
The Rolex Air‑King ref. 4365 was produced from 1945 to 1949 and is one of the earliest references in the Air‑King line. Designed in the aftermath of World War II to honor RAF pilots, it laid the foundation for what would become a long-standing model family. The watch features a 34 mm stainless steel Oyster case with a domed acrylic crystal and smooth bezel, housing the hand-wound Rolex Caliber 10.5 or Rolex Caliber 700. The case thickness is approximately 11 mm, with a lug-to-lug span of around 42 mm and a lug width of 19 mm. Dial configurations included radium-lumed Arabic numerals or mixed numeral and baton designs, often marked with ‘Precision’ or ‘Super Precision’ text. This reference is now a rare collectible, particularly sought after for its historical value, early Rolex engineering, and classic tool-watch styling.
