Rolex Cosmograph Daytona 6241 Description

Reference 6241 is a vintage manual-wind Daytona, produced from approximately 1966 to 1969. It is the black acrylic bezel counterpart to the steel-bezel 6239. Its key technical features are a 37.5mm non-Oyster case with “pump” pushers and a black acrylic (Bakelite) tachymeter bezel. It was powered by the Valjoux 722 and later the 722-1 manual-wind movement. The significance of the 6241 lies in its aesthetic, as the black bezel provided higher contrast and a sportier look. It is often associated with exotic “Paul Newman” dials, making those examples some of the most sought-after vintage watches in the world.
