Reference 6265 is the metal-bezel counterpart to the 6263, produced from approximately 1971 to 1988. Its key technical features are a 37.5mm Oyster case with screw-down chronograph pushers and an engraved tachymeter bezel in stainless steel (or gold on precious metal versions). It is powered by the Valjoux 727 manual-wind movement. The 6265 is historically significant as one of the two final and most robust manual-wind Daytona references. It offered a more durable alternative to the acrylic bezel 6263, while sharing the same improved water resistance.
