The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 5013 is a rare and somewhat enigmatic reference from the late 1940s and early 1950s. Its significance lies in its representation of the “Oyster Perpetual” concept during a key period of Rolex’s growth. Documentation on this reference is scarce and sometimes contradictory, with case sizes reported at both 31mm and 33mm. The most detailed examples point to a c. 1949 model with a 33mm stainless steel case. It housed a 10 1/2 ligne Rolex automatic movement. Due to its rarity, it is a point of interest for dedicated vintage collectors.
