Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 15010 Description

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 15010 is a vintage model produced during the late 1970s and 1980s. It features a 34mm stainless steel Oyster case equipped with a distinctive engine-turned bezel, a design element that adds texture and depth to its otherwise understated profile. As with other models in the Date line, it includes Rolex’s signature screw-down crown and caseback and is topped with an acrylic crystal that includes the Cyclops magnifier over the date at 3 o’clock. Powering the 15010 is the Rolex Caliber 3035, a COSC-certified automatic movement known for its precision, durability, and the added benefit of a quickset date function, with a power reserve of approximately 48 hours. Dials came in a range of finishes including silver, white, black, and blue, typically accented with stick hour markers and matching hands, offering both legibility and timeless aesthetics. With a lug-to-lug measurement of 41mm and a lug width of 19mm, the watch wears compactly but with enough presence to suit a wide range of wrist sizes. The 15010 is sought after today for its reliable performance, vintage proportions, and the unique bezel that distinguishes it from more common smooth or fluted alternatives.
