Rolex Datejust 1630

Reference 1630 is a rare and significant transitional 36mm Datejust, produced for a brief period in the mid-1970s. Its primary technical distinction is its angular case design with fully integrated lugs that flow seamlessly into a specially designed Jubilee bracelet. Furthermore, the Ref. 1630 is one of the first non-Oysterquartz Datejusts to be factory-fitted with a flat, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. It is powered by the Rolex Caliber 1575, a non-quickset date automatic movement. The technical specification denotes a ‘Yellow Rolesor’ construction, combining a stainless steel case with a solid 18k yellow gold fluted bezel and integrated bracelet center links.
