Rolex Datejust 16250 Description
Reference 16250 is a rare and transitional model of the Datejust ‘Turn-O-Graph’, produced for a short period from approximately 1977 to the early 1980s. This reference is historically significant as it housed the Rolex Caliber 3035, the first high-beat caliber to feature a ‘single quickset’ date function in the Turn-O-Graph line. The technical specification is a 36mm stainless steel Oyster case fitted with a bi-directional rotating ‘Turn-O-Graph’ bezel crafted from solid 18k yellow gold. The case was one of the first in its line to be fitted with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Its unique reference number and specific production window make it a point of interest for specialist collectors.
