Rolex Oyster 3136 Description
A manually-wound model from the late 1930s/early 1940s often branded “Oyster Raleigh.” Its significance is twofold: it was part of a strategy to create named lines for specific markets, and it was an early adopter of the “Centregraph” (center seconds) layout. This technical feature, useful for precise timing, combined with the robust Oyster case, marked an important step in Rolex’s development of functional, professional “tool” watches.
