Rolex Datejust 6625 Description

The Rolex Datejust ref. 6625 is a vintage ladies’ model produced during the 1960s and early 1970s, showcasing the brand’s commitment to elegance and mechanical precision in smaller formats. This reference was offered in stainless steel and gold configurations, most commonly seen with a fluted bezel and matching Jubilee or Oyster bracelet options. The 26mm Oyster case is equipped with an acrylic crystal and features the Cyclops lens over the date window at 3 o’clock. It retains the screw-down crown and caseback essential to Rolex’s waterproof standards. Powering the 6625 is the Rolex Caliber 1161, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of approximately 42 hours, which was known for its robustness and dependability at the time. Dial options were available in silver, champagne, black, or occasionally in textured variations, often with baton indices and luminous alpha or stick hands. The lug-to-lug measurement is approximately 33mm and the lug width is 13mm, allowing for a delicate presence on the wrist that remains wearable today. As an early generation of the ladies’ Datejust line, the ref. 6625 offers historical relevance, classic aesthetics, and vintage appeal for collectors who appreciate the design language of mid-century Rolex timepieces.
