Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 6627 Description
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 6627 is a vintage ladies’ watch from the early 1960s, produced as a counterpart to the 6625, with subtle differences in finishing and movement. The 6627 typically features a 26mm Oyster case in stainless steel or solid gold, often fitted with a fluted or polished bezel and paired with an Oyster or Jubilee bracelet. It includes an acrylic crystal with the Cyclops lens over the date window and maintains Rolex’s standard screw-down crown and caseback for water resistance. This reference is powered by the manually wound Rolex Caliber 1130, offering a reliable hand-wound alternative to the more common automatic movements in the Datejust range. The power reserve is approximately 42 hours. Dials were available in a range of traditional tones such as silver, champagne, or black, with applied baton hour markers and simple stick hands. The watch measures approximately 33mm lug-to-lug with a lug width of 13mm, offering a refined, compact size ideal for formal and everyday wear. The 6627 holds particular appeal for vintage collectors interested in Rolex’s mid-century ladies’ watches, especially those preferring manual-wind calibers in precious metal configurations.
