Released in 2020, this is the third “Blancpain Ocean Commitment” (BOC) limited edition of 250 pieces. The watch is a tribute to the original MIL-SPEC, featuring the functional circular moisture indicator at 6 o’clock. Its primary distinction is its luxurious execution, featuring a satin-brushed 18k red gold case paired with an all-blue dial and blue ceramic bezel insert. Powered by the caliber 1151, the solid gold rotor is engraved with the “Ocean Commitment” branding. This reference is significant for two reasons: it combines the utilitarian MIL-SPEC design with precious materials, and its sale supports Blancpain’s philanthropic initiatives for ocean preservation. For each watch sold, a donation of 1,000 euros is made to the cause.
