Rolex 1080 Description

The Rolex Caliber 1080 is a rare automatic movement best known for powering the original Rolex Milgauss ref. 6541. Introduced in 1955 and based on the Cal. 1030, it was specially engineered with anti-magnetic components and protected by a soft iron cage to resist high levels of magnetic interference. This COSC-certified caliber, beating at 18,000 vph, was Rolex’s first dedicated movement for the scientific community.
