Rolex 1555 Description

The Rolex Caliber 1555 was the foundational automatic movement for the original Day-Date models. This COSC-certified chronometer introduced the line’s signature day and date complication. Operating at 18,000 vph, it was prized for its reliability and served as the technical base for the Day-Date’s rise to prominence. It was later succeeded by the higher-beat Caliber 1556.
