Rolex 618 Description

The Rolex Caliber 618 is a large (16”’) manual-wind movement based on a Cortébert 616 pocket watch ébauche. Rolex modified and finished these calibers to supply exclusively to Panerai for their first military dive watches from the 1930s-50s. Known for its robustness, reliability, and signature small-seconds at 9 o’clock, the Cal. 618 is the legendary engine of the original Panerai “Frogman” watches.
