Reference 5034 is an early ‘Pre-Daytona’ Oyster Chronograph produced in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It is powered by the Valjoux 72 manual-wind movement. Like the later Ref. 6034, its key technical identifier is a multi-scale dial, typically featuring a tachymeter and a telemeter scale. The 36mm Oyster case features pump pushers. The 5034 is historically significant as one of the first 3-register Oyster Chronographs from Rolex, establishing the basic technical framework and case design that would evolve into the Daytona nearly two decades later.
