Reference 18079 is a rare decorative variant from the 180xx single quickset Day-Date series, produced from approximately 1978 to 1988. This reference is built on the platform that introduced the Caliber 3055, a 27-jewel movement with a ‘single quickset’ date mechanism, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The 36mm Oyster case is constructed from 18k white gold (9) and is distinguished by its ‘bark’ bezel (7), an intricate, hand-applied texture. This finish was also typically applied to the center links of the corresponding 18k white gold President bracelet.
