Its historical significance lies in being a “pre-Bubbleback” Perpetual, representing one of the earliest integrations of an automatic movement into a waterproof Oyster case. This model predates the widespread use of the Perpetual system, making it a crucial and rare artifact of Rolex’s innovation.
