The Airmaster is, without question, Titoni’s most iconic collection. For decades, it has been the brand’s go-to offering for a reliable, go-anywhere, do-anything timepiece. This was no delicate dress watch; it was engineered for life. The casebacks of these watches proudly announce their specifications like a badge of honor: a robust screw-down case, antishock systems like Incabloc and the brand’s proprietary “Titoflex,” and a high-jewel count for a smooth and accurate performance. This was Swiss tool-watch philosophy applied to a handsome, everyday wearer.
This particular Airmaster, a Reference 305-345, is a truly stunning example of what Titoni does best. The silver sunburst dial is impeccably clean and features bold, applied baton indices with sharp black inlays for excellent legibility. This contrast is complemented by a set of crisp, dark dauphine hands that sweep across the dial. What we love most, however, are the charming details: the iconic “plum blossom” logo at 12 o’clock, the elegant Airmaster script, and the fantastic pop of red text that calls out its high jewel count and Titoflex system. Housed in a solid stainless steel case with strong, sharp lugs, it’s a design that is both timeless and full of character.
As a beautifully preserved survivor, this watch remains in fantastic vintage condition. The dial is crisp and bright, showing virtually no signs of aging. The robust steel case is thick and appears unpolished, retaining its sharp, handsome lines. Turning the watch over, the deeply embossed caseback medallion and surrounding text are still incredibly well-defined, a clear sign of a watch that has been well cared for.
