Omega 471 Description
The Omega Caliber 471 is a significant movement from 1955, representing Omega’s first small-diameter, full-rotor automatic caliber designed for ladies’ timepieces. As the higher-grade, 20-jewel version of the Caliber 470, it was a cornerstone of the newly launched and immensely popular “Ladymatic” collection. The creation of a compact, efficient, and reliable self-winding movement was a major technical achievement that allowed Omega to offer the same convenience and performance found in its men’s watches to a female audience. The Cal. 471 featured a modern 19,800 A/h beat rate and a central seconds hand, making it a technically advanced and robust engine for Omega’s elegant ladies’ watches of the era.
