This vintage Omega Seamaster, reference 2846-1, is a highly desirable early model powered by a 500 automatic movement with a signature copper-plated finish. The all-stainless-steel case is distinguished by its thick, faceted “fat lugs” and a snap-on back. Its original silver crosshair dial has aged beautifully into a consistent and warm “tropical” patina, giving it a unique character. The dial is appointed with applied, faceted arrowhead hour markers, an applied Arabic ’12’, and patinated, lume-filled dauphine hands, making it a prime example of a classic mid-century tool watch.
