Eterna
Eterna is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer founded in 1856 in Grenchen by Dr. Joseph Girard and Urs Schild. The brand is historically significant for its innovations, most notably the development of the Eterna-matic ball-bearing mounted rotor in 1948, which greatly improved automatic winding efficiency and became the basis for their logo. Eterna’s movement division eventually spun off to become ETA SA, a major supplier within the Swiss watch industry, while Eterna continues to produce its own line of high-quality watches, including the well-known KonTiki collection.
