This Gruen Precision Autowind is constructed with a round, gold-tone base metal case and a stainless steel screw-down back. The watch has a silver dial with a sunburst finish, which is appointed with applied, gold-tone, faceted dagger-style hour markers. The gold-tone dauphine hands contain luminous inserts that correspond to luminous pips at the outer edge of each hour marker. The dial is marked “Ra SWISS Ra” at its lowest point, indicating the use of radium for luminescence. Text on the dial includes “GRUEN PRECISION” below the 12 o’clock position and “25 JEWELS AUTOWIND” above the 6 o’clock position. The watch functions on a 25-jewel automatic movement.
