The vintage Rolex Date ref 1550 is a classic timepiece released in the 1970s. This stunning watch features a beautiful 35mm yellow gold case with a smooth bezel and a gold screw-down Oyster crown. An interesting detail is that the case back is made of stainless steel, adding to its unique design. The watch boasts a captivating gray sunburst dial with gold stick indices. It comes with its original gold-capped bracelet, which shows some signs of wear but is still in good condition. Additionally, the watch includes its original papers and owner’s manual. Powering this Rolex Date ref 1550 is the Rolex Caliber 1570, a reliable Swiss automatic movement with 26 jewels and a 48-hour power reserve. This movement was the first Rolex caliber to include hacking seconds and is COSC certified like its predecessors. The dimensions of this watch are quite unique for Rolex, featuring a 35mm case width and a 39.6mm lug to lug measurement. It has a standard 20mm lug width and can fit wrists up to 7.4 inches.
