This watch is, in our opinion, a perfect distillation of the 1960s design ethos. It’s clean, it’s balanced, and it’s full of subtle details that elevate it. The 34mm case, with its warm 10k gold-filled finish and elegant, elongated lugs, has a classic presence that wears beautifully on the wrist. The dial is the main event: a lovely silver sunburst finish that has been remarkably well-preserved. It features a classic layout with applied baton indices and bold Arabic numerals at the cardinal points of 12, 6, and 9, a hallmark of mid-century design. A crisp date window at 3 o’clock adds a layer of everyday functionality.
One of the key features proudly displayed on the dial is the word “Incabloc.” To a modern collector, this might seem like just another piece of text, but in its day, this was a significant and marketable piece of technology. The Incabloc system was a revolutionary form of shock protection for the delicate balance staff of the movement, making watches dramatically more durable and reliable for daily wear. Its inclusion here signifies that this was a quality timepiece, built to last. The blued steel seconds hand is another fantastic touch, providing a striking pop of color that glides beautifully over the dial.
